Movement has a job to do
Motion should orient, connect or reveal. If an animation does none of those things, removing it often makes the experience clearer.
Build a recognizable rhythm
A small library of easing curves, durations and choreography rules creates identity without spectacle at every click.
Respect the viewer
Give people room to focus. Avoid aggressive auto-playing media and keep reduced-motion alternatives first-class.
Document the decisions
A clear motion system explains both how something moves and why. That context is what makes it reusable.
